Description
Dynamic, growing, entertainment related business services company has an immediate need for a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer. Will be designing and implementing large, complex projects from the ground up primarily using Java, working closely with business customers to define and scope new products focused on budgeting, accounting and payroll for the entertainment industry, providing mentorship to a team of 5-7 engineers, including setting best practices and performing code reviews, recommending new technologies, tools and standards to improve efficiency and productivity within the team. Will require substantial coding experience, including building enterprise-class software in a web service and client/server environment.
MUST have the following requirements: 7+ years hands-on Java experience, 3+ years using SQL and relational databases (MySQL/Oracle preferred), experience with C/C++ and/or C# preferred, strong knowledge of OO design, data structures and algorithms, ability to play a leadership role including mentoring and code reviews, expert in building web services (REST/SOAP) and client/server applications, experience with TCP/IP and network programming, working knowledge of Agile development methodologies, and excellent communication and people skills, and BSCS or equivalent. Advanced degree a plus. Experience using scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, Ruby, Python a strong plus. Enjoy top compensation including excellent benefits and a rewarding work environment.
