Description
Perform application server (software) administration tasks such as installing, configuring, monitoring and performance tuning J2EE and J2SE application server software. Design, create and implement auxiliary utilities such as start/stop scripts, automated monitoring and alerting frameworks. Proactively manage the environments as well as reactively solve problems. Lead a team of application server (software) administrators to do the same. Work with clients (application development teams) and other technology service providers to seek out potential work for the purpose of planning. Lead the team by planning the group's work activities, prioritizing work and assigning work to team members. Create and execute project plans.

Experience/Skills
Previous system administration experience.
. Bea WLS or BroadVision experience a plus.
. Programming language: Java, J2EE. WLS shell & korn shell a plus.
. Operating Systems: Unix, Windows 2000. HP-UX, Sun Solaris a plus.
. Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
. Strong, technical and analytical skills.
. Ability to multi-task
. Project management skills.
. Strong command of the system development life cycle.
