Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for quality assurance (QA) on new applications and modifications to existing applications; verifying business specifications have been implemented as requested and existing functionality continues to perform; working with Business Analysts to understand functionality implemented within each release; developing test plans for each release and assisting with scripting of new application functionality when needed; scheduling QA testing to meet rollout schedules; supporting roll-outs to various environments, including production, which will require working outside the normal business hours.

Experience/Skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) Bachelor Degree with 2 years experience OR Technical Certification or College Courses with 3 years experience OR 4 years experience with 5 years experience testing software and
2) 3 years using automated testing tools such as Rational SQA products
3) 3 years experience developing and executing test plans and scripts for major software version releases
4) Experience leading major testing efforts:; ability to meet demanding roll-out schedules to various environments as well as working outside normal business hours 5) Ability to communicate effectively with Business Analysts to ensure application functionality and requirements have been incorporated into test plan development and scripting for each release.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) Experience and proficiency using these automated testing tools: Rational Team Test Studio, Robot, Test Manager, and Clear Quest Bug Tracking software
2) Experience in the Health Insurance industry.
