Lead User Interface Developer - Flex, ActionScript, Advanced Javascript, jQuery, CSS

Based in Arlington, VA, we are an international leader in the development, implementation and integration of Global Enterprise Software. Due to tremendous growth and demand for our software products and SaaS services, we are seeking to hire for 2 candidates on a FT/Permanent basis: (1) Lead User Interface (UI) Developer and (1) Sr. User Interface (UI) Developer.

Responsibilities
The Lead UI Developer works with the Project Manager, Technical Lead Engineer, User Experience team and other engineers, Business Analysts, and QC Engineers on various projects within the product suite. He/she would be responsible for developing the UI artifacts required to implement the various product features while maintaining the highest quality standards during the entire development effort. The Lead UI Developer would also be responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall UI standards and in mentoring other engineers and UI developers in adopting these standards across the suite of our products.

The successful candidate has team leadership experience, is self-motivated, able to work independently with little or no supervision, and is committed to the highest standards of quality for the entire development effort. The candidate should have experience in the full lifecycle of Web application development, from requirements analysis and design through QC. Strong experience developing Web based user interfaces, including RIA technologies is essential.

Position Requirements
1.) 4+ years of experience doing UI Development for Web based applications; 5+ years preferred.

2.) Team leadership experience of a UI team

3.) 1+ year of experience with both Adobe Flex and ActionScript is required. Expert level experience with Flex is a huge plus.

4.) Must be STRONG with HTML/CSS, Advanced Javascript including jQuery and Prototypes.

5.) Strong understanding and experience with XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript development skills and cross browser compatibility issues.

6.) Java/J2EEE/JSP

7.) Understanding of accessibility and Web standards such as 508, W3C

8.) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to have skills:
1.) Experience developing reusable Flex components; Good understanding of the Flex data models and integration with remote services such as Blaze DS; Experience customizing existing Flex components.

2.) At least some exposure to the full product/project development lifecycle-requirements gathering and analysis, design, estimation, development, QC and user-acceptance testing.

3.) Experience working on enterprise software delivered over the Web a plus.

4.) Experience in graphic design for the Web (Photoshop, Fireworks, etc)
