Description
Become an Innovator in the software testing discipline as part of our consulting company. We are working with clients to develop cutting edge solutions to their testing environments including a test automation framework solution for automation. Join this privately held company and see how your expertise can truly make a difference to our company and the clients we serve. You will work with the VP of the Practice to define, develop and implement our innovative testing solutions. The opportunity is based in Atlanta but will allow you to work with Fortune 500 companies throughout the US.4-year degree
5+ years as a senior consultant (or experience doing presentations or executive-level communication)
3+ years experience in software testing and software test management
Experience implementing practical testing processes including waterfall methodologies up to and including agile methodologies
1-2 years experience successfully implementing software testing automation
Skill to assess a client's environment and make recommendations for improvement (at least 2 experiences)
Knowledge and understanding of software testing industry best practices.
Skill to establish testing estimates at high level or with incomplete information (must be able to model)
Skill to establish and negotiate comprehensive test plan across all levels of testing
Skill to create/design test cases and execute test cases
Skill to plan for data including the extraction of production data and the creation of simulated data Executive-level communication skills.
Skills including negotiation, problem solving, ability to work as a team, leadership experience of 3-10 people.
Ability to train/mentor others, developing people
Willingness to travel- initially 3 months in Dallas to train, then 40%-60% depending on consulting engagements. Depending on the amount of travel - a travel bonus is available.
Prefer SQE certification (ISTQB) or participation in QAI or similar groups

Experience/Skills
Skill to test within either a .Net or J2EE environment across all tiers (IE, Netscape Navigator, and other browsers, skill to support C#, C++, VB, configurations utilizing Weblogic, XML, XSL, & DB support for Oracle, SQLServer, etc through TOAD, MySQL or other SQL support tools).
Exposure to or leadership in establishing and setting up certified test environments.
Manual & Automated test environments.
Skill to use a defect tracking - TestDirector, QA Manager, Segue Test Manager, ClearCase, Remedy, etc
