Description
Service Assurance is responsible for the execution of proactive and reactive activities to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and meet SLA or Quality of Service performance levels. Jobs in this sub-family perform continuous 24x7 monitoring and testing to proactively detect possible failures and defects. This sub-family tests and evaluates processes, software, and provides certification testing of equipment for quality assurance of product offering and services. Develops training and user documents that drive operational efficiency, collects and analyzes performance data to identify potential problems and resolve them without impact to the customer. This sub-family manages SLAs, ATPs, Defect reports, Release-Ability of software applications after testing, and reports service performance. This sub-family provides operations support by leading in troubleshooting system issues and recommends solutions. It receives troubles reports, informs customers of the trouble status, and ensures escalation, restoration and repair, as well as a delighted customer. 1-Drive change, develop standards and define new processes through knowledge, leadership, communication, influence and team building skills 2-Create or update documentation including policies, process flows, methods and procedures, network diagrams, defect reports, acceptance test plans, post mortems, technical specifications and other documentation as required 3-Analyze outages with various Cox organizations ensuring that root cause and corrective/preventive action is identified. Follow through and ensure that highlighted improvements are implemented 4-Develop tools, methods, measures and program of tracking/improving field reliability and performance of network components. Analyze information, providing opportunities for improvement. Develop plans and implement improvement initiatives with internal partners and product suppliers that reduce overall outages and failures in the network (eg vendor/supplier quality programs)
