Description
Do you have 2+ years proven desktop support experience? Our Cedar Rapids client is looking for Level 1 & 2 Desktop Support Technicians to support internal customers. The main responsibilities of these positions will be to investigate, analyze and resolve hardware and associated software issues, perform complex hardware repairs and maintenance on a wide range of PCs, laptops, and peripherals. Additional duties will include evaluation of existing computer systems hardware and performing system upgrades, customization and testing of computer systems and resolving configuration conflicts and errors. This position will also be responsible for installing, integrating and configuring new computer systems and hardware for users, prioritizing and processing issue reports, documenting the progress of projects, utilizing problem tracking systems and reviewing application elements and procedures. Experience/Skills
Candidates should have 2+ years of successful desktop, laptop and peripheral support experience in Windows 2000/XP environments, in addition to extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong communication and documentation skills and the ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision are essential. An Associate degree in a computer related field is required, and a Bachelor's degree in a computer related field is preferred.
