We are searching for a Senior AIX Technical Support Professionals for long term and ongoing contract positions at a Fortune 20 client in North Austin. If you have strong AIX OS skills/support to include ANY of the following AND are interested in providing Level 2 technical support, you are encouraged to apply!

AIX Installation skills/System Backup & Recovery
TCP/IP and/or Netcom networking background
System Performance
HACMP and/or VIOS

This position will involve some type of a day/first shift such as 8 to 5 p.m., or 10 to 7 p.m., etc. OR a combined 2nd/ 3rd shift. Some weekend hours may be required. Flexibility to work with one of these two types of schedules is necessary.

Seeking the following skills for all of the above support groups:
Strong abilities to navigate/operate in a Unix environment.
Familiarity with Shell Scripting/programming in an AIX/Unix environment is a plus.
Skills in VI for editing/manipulating files are a plus.
Knowledge of network topology and setup.
EXCELLENT customer support and communication skills
Willingness to complete ongoing training in customer service and AIX certifications

Technical Support Professionals will support external and internal customers of this Fortune 20 organization over the phone. Tools and additional training will be offered and required. To reiterate, you really need to ENJOY being on the phone with customers for this to be the right opportunity for YOU!

Pay Rate Range Offered will be between $25 - $32 /hour and will be dependent upon experience. CTG has a range of benefits to offer as well as 6 and 12 month BONUSES!
