Description
Provide second level support maintaining a 7x24 operation in support of CLIENTS data networks and associated service levels. These networks encompass WAN, physical components (Cisco, Nortel, Cabletron), and logical connectivity to Clients Customers.

Position would also interface with supporting vendors. This requires the proactive monitoring of various communications equipment, technologies, and information systems, modems, muxes, digital and analog circuits, T1, utilizing HP Open View alert monitoring tool Cisco Works and Net General test equipment, etc.

These networks utilize various protocols and transport mechanisms, including TCP/IP, Ethernet position also requires extensive communication with various customs, vendors and other CLIENTS Departments to prevent and or resolve problems in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal communication skills required.

Environment -Network 2nd level operational support /Cisco

Primary Skills
  • logically troubleshoot complex network problems.
  • CCNA certification a plus.

    Secondary Skills- Documenting problems into online tickets tool and phone communications skills.
