Description
Responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting 24 x 7, high-availability
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining Solaris, HP and Linux servers, including Web servers, in support of business processing requirements
  • Will perform software installations and upgrades to Unix operating systems and layered software packages and maintain them in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements
  • Will ensure Unix system data integrity by evaluating and implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions
  • Will conduct routine hardware and software audits of Unix systems for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum level of performance and ensure data / media recoverability by implementing a robust methodology for performing system backups and database archive operations
  • Review and assess technical options related to enhancing the stability and availability of systems
  • Develop and present system designs to management

  • Must have setup Web servers & have significant UNIX based applications experience
