Description
Seeking a motivated Linux System Administrator to support our Linux System. This person will be responsible for administering a high availability, hosted environment and manage a multi-server network running Linux. This person will work closely with the Software Development, Client Services, Implementation and Support teams to meet business and technical demands. The successful candidate works well in fast paced environment, deals professionally with internal and external clients, demonstrates excellent documentation skills, has 3+ years experience in small shop, high availability environment.

Basic Skills Required: Linux (min.3+ years of hands-on exp), Apache Web server & Postgress database setup & maintenance, Scripting(Bourne shell & Perl). A plus would be experience with: Solaris & HPUX, IBM & HP hardware, knowledge with clusters & load sharing, SAN/NAS.

Responsibilities:
Administer multiple Linux servers running in high availability. Configure and install new machines, Advance Linux administration shell scripting, performance tuning, and support. Implement software and hardware RAID solutions. Research, evaluate and implement fault tolerant cluster Manager. Maintain development/testing environments for real-time (Application Service Provider). Set up and day to day maintenance of production system. Incident detection and handling. Resource monitoring, scaling of infrastructure as needed. Duties will include monitoring, small projects, automation of jobs, and system builds. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with little supervision(network, hardware, OS, performance-related problems).
