Description
Prestigious Technology Consulting Firm is currently seeking a Solutions Developer with a C++, Red Hat Linux, & Java Web based technologies background to develop performance tuning application tools. Candidates can be based in Little Rock, Arkansas or western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. This is a 3 month contact to hire. Permanent Salary is in the 85K range.

Solutions Developer will work with Account Teams to meet customer needs by developing and or customizing technical solutions. Solution Developer will develop proprietary monitoring tools to monitor application flow. Development will be done in C++, Java, Web based technologies on top of Red Hat Linux and dealing with SQL Server databases & Perl, Shell scripting following DataStage Parallel Extender methodology.



Experience/Skills
. Must have 5+ years experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata) including a strong understanding of database design, SQL Queries, PL/SQL and or ETL tools such as Ascential DataStage . Minimum 5+ years of strong SQL/database experience . Business Intelligence experiences (Ascential DataStage) . Strong problem solving skills . Data Warehouse knowledge (ETL, OLAP, Star Schema, Dimensional Modeling) Plus: Experience in Pharmaceutical or Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
