Linux Device Driver Developer
Location: Austin. TX
This position is contract to hire and comes with full benefits and competitive compensation. Start date is early July and the client is ready to begin the interview process.
Our client has a start up satellite office in Austin. They are a server-to-server networking company that develops and delivers RDMA-enabled Ethernet-based products that meet the requirements of high performance computing, clustered databases, enterprise applications and storage infrastructures.
The Linux Device Driver Developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-performance network device driver software for the Linux operating systems. This individual will work cooperatively with hardware and software engineering staff to deliver high quality software on time.

Job Responsibilities:
" Design, document, implement, unit test and integrate significant components of a Linux network device driver.
" Participate in the architecture, design and code review of peer software and hardware components.
" Deliver high-quality software components on the committed schedule.

Experience/Skills
" Engineering (BSEE/CS) or Computer Science (BSCS) degree.
" Strong technical knowledge the Linux kernel, NETDEV and kernel module driver architecture, TCP/IP networking, and the PCI bus interface.
" Preferred candidates will have familiarity with RDMA Verbs, and iWARP.
" Proven track record to deliver software projects on time and within budget.
" At least 5 years experience developing device driver software for Linux and or Unix.
" Effective communication skills.
" Demonstrated ability to work in a high-paced start-up environment.
