Description
A Unix / Linux Engineer is needed to support an on-going project at an engineering company.

The right candidate will configure, install and maintain latest versions of Unix and Linux OS, install and integrate various open source software applications, provide technical support to a group of software and system engineers, will perform system performance tuning and IO/CPU load balancing.

Experience/Skills
  • 3+ yrs of hands-on Unix / Linux system administration and application support.

  • B.S. degree in Comp. Sci. or similar preferred.

  • Linux Red Hat AS installation,config.,admin.
    Linux RH security: Firewall, networking, ssh & stelnet
  • Load Balancing (IO/CPU)
  • MySQL database server
  • Scripting (Perl, csh / bsh)
  • Some programming skills in C, C++ &/or Java desired
  • Hardware configuration skills

    Other system & database administration skills helpful.

    Excellent communication skills.
    Other desired skills:
