Job Description

APEX Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified applicant for a Linux Engineer for an exciting opportunity in the St. Louis area. Requirements below:

    • Experienced in deploying RHEL 5x in an enterprise setting
    • Strong understanding of patch management and methods to manage it for RHEL
    • Strong knowledge of provisioning, must have experience with automate solutions for RHEL
    • Adept at designing RHEL for DR, best practices
    • Knowledgeable in leveraging ESX for RHEL
    • Solid understanding of supporting Oracle 9x, 10x & 11 on RHEL & AIX
    • Ideal candidate will have experience with SAP and Oracle RAC on RHEL
    • Needs to have design and build of Directory Services for Linux, AIX, Solaris with AD Integration
    • Must have experience creating/implementing a monitoring strategy for Linux platform
    • Should be familiar with Satellite server
    • Must be familiar with HACMP 5.x
    • Must be familiar with VIO
    • Practical experience in AIX versions 5.3 and 6.1
    • Ideally will have migrated from 5.2 to 5.4 for HACMP
    • Has experience with NIM setup and maintenance
    • Likely will have experience with micro partitioning
    • HMC version 7
