We are currently looking for a LINUX EXPERT/APPLICATION DEVELOPER. This full-time position is for our client in Irvine, CA, who is a rapidly-growing industry leader. Description as follows:


The Application Developer is responsible for problem research, analysis and programming of software, or maintenance of software packages, of medium to high complexity, under minimal supervision. This person will possess a high degree of knowledge of the LINUX development environment, including software development tools, unit-testing techniques, and production migration processes and systems development lifecycle.

Job Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain application software of medium to high complexity, after hour on-call support, and managing small projects with minimal supervision.
Maintain satisfactory working relationships with team members, and clients as required to successfully achieve assigned tasks.
A working knowledge of the development teams' application portfolio and associated business processes, and an expert knowledge of those applications, which the Application Developer is responsible for supporting day-to-day.
Provide accurate time estimates on assigned tasks, and provide guidance and training to less experienced team members in the areas of programming and software support
Perform analysis and design necessary for creating programming specifications for less experienced teammates.df-tc

Experience/Skills
. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical training.
3-6 years experience in programming or package software support
Proficiency in C' programming language and LINUX shell scripting required. Experience with JAVA , X-Windows GUI development and object oriented development processes highly preferred.
Strong Technical Expertise or Consultant with at least 5 years Linux experience.
Expertise in Linux (SuSe preferred), Open Source, Firefox, Thunderbird
Strong leadership skills
