Description
Linux/Network system administrator Responsibilities Communication required in Chinese language. Routine server maintenance and network trouble-shooting. Deploying servers and expanding our service infrastructure. Ensure servers scale with our business and are configured in a highly available manner. Write programs and/or scripts to automate daily tasks. Document all work. Work with SA (system administration) team in China Participates in on-call rotation. Internally driven to provide proactive and lasting solutions to routine server maintenance issues. Qualifications 2+ years hands on Linux/UNIX systems administration experience. Experienced with Linux Operating Systems. Experienced with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching etc) Experienced with security concepts and practices. Proven programming and/or scripting (shell, Perl, python etc) knowledge. Proven analytical and trouble-shooting skills. Comfortable working in a large scale server environment. Proven documentation skills; some documentation may need to be in Chinese. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Large scale storage (SAN, NAS) experience strongly desired.
