Robert Half Technology is currently seeking a Linux Administrator for an ongoing opportunity for a client located in the Kansas City area. This is a contract opportunity, with the potential to go full-time. They will need to be able to gather, understand and manage technical requirements and expectations. You will help manage multiple small to mid-sized client IT infrastructures effectively on an ongoing basis. Experience/Skills
Have a good general understanding of networking. DNS, vlans, network segmentation, OSI model. Exposure to CLI/GUI interface on Extreme Networks and Cisco switches is a plus. Intermediate to strong Linux experience, RedHat Enterprise and Suse in particular. Intermediate Windows experience, Windows 2000, 2003, and XP in particular. Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a variety of hardware. Good technical communication skills, ability to communicate with engineering community. Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment (i.e. a self starter).
