Description
Duties: Configure and build new Linux images for production and development use. * Develop/maintain procedures to comply with IT best practices. * Maintain meticulous documentation of systems configurations and procedures. administration and network * Work with developers, QA and other administrators to develop and implement standard deployment practices. * Monitor open-source components for suggested and critical patches and updates. * Assist users with problem resolution and answer system usage questions. * Work with users to schedule application of patches, software updates and hardware upgrades. * Work with the Business Continuity Team to refine and test disaster recovery systems and procedures. * Monitor system health and resource consumption.* Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve hardware outages and software defects. * Keep current with latest Linux hardware and software technology, and evaluate technologies as needed.
