Description
We seek a Linux Systems Administrator with 6 years of experience and knowledgeable with Red Hat Linux.
- Participate in capacity and performance initiatives
- Implement system administration automation products
- Understanding of ITIL practices
- Work with minimal direction and be knowledge-seeking
- In-depth knowledge of RHEL Linux (4.x, 5.x)
- Ability to work on major projects with DBA/Web/PM/Network/SAN, etc.
- Previous systems administration and engineering experience in high throughput, low-latency environments

Responsible for the engineering planning, design, implementation, and operation of Unix and Windows Midrange computing platforms for n-Tier application architectures. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications.

Experience/Skills
Work with Primary SA and project team to build out Linux servers on X86 HW using Red Hat Linux 5.x). Responsible for deploying tools and adhering to the LOB server production readiness guidleines. Must know Vmware, performance tuning, backup, and monitoring configuration. The method of build deployment will be Kickstart.
