Description
Robert Half Technology is currently working with a technology company located in North Houston. This is a full time, direct hire role that will be responsible for managing, developing, and debugging a custom Linux environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a Linux environment developing, debugging, and maintaining kernel and driver modules. The position also requires working with the application developers, test and QA teams to quickly identify and resolve issues during development and integration testing.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Qualified Candidates will have the following:- 5+ years experience in stand-alone Linux environments, managing and building customized versions of Linux kernel distributions, and finding/applying Linux patches.- Experienced Linux device driver debug/maintenance, and ability to create and maintain various bootable Linux environments (PXE, CD, USB).- Hands-on experience with networks and networking at a system level, and detailed knowledge of TCP and other networking protocols.- 5+ years experience in Linux scripting (Bash sh, Perl, Tcl, AWK, etc.)- 5+ years experience in C language development environments.- Proven debug and problem solving abilities.Education• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
