Our client is in the business of Auto and Workers Comp claims processing for clinics and hospitals. They are a solution driven organization, created specifically to drastically increase the percentage of our clients collected invoices, by improving the accuracy and efficiencies in the collection of PIP and Workers Comp billings. To achieve our goals, we apply years of industry expertise through our experienced claims processors utilizing proprietary state of the art information processing and software systems.


Description:

The Systems Administrator will play a central role in the support, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Client/Server and web-based software system (Alchemy), which is used to manage and automate the processing and collection of medical receivables. Alchemy has many different modules, including a SQL database, Windows and web-based clients, a scanning server, and a Perl application server. The back-end environment is currently based on RedHat Linux, MySQL, and Perl.


Responsibilities:
Perform all MySQL DBA duties necessary to support the use of Alchemy within the company;
Perform system administration for the Linux server where Alchemy resides;
Automate processes and address changing business requirements by developing SQL, Perl, HTML, CGI, and shell scripts;
Design and develop reports using SQL, Perl, MS Access or any other reporting tool of choice;
Analyze, convert, and transfer customer databases into Alchemy;
Develop interfaces between Alchemy and customer systems/processes;
Install and Configure Alchemy on new workstations and servers;
Troubleshooting, Update and Maintenance of existing Perl, SQL, and HTML code;
Provide general technical and computer-related assistance around the office.



Requirements:
This position requires a technically versatile and highly talented individual. Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline, plus at least 5 years experience and very strong skills in each of the following areas: RDBMS theory/architecture/design, SQL, Perl, CGI, Linux, Shell Scripting, HTML. Some experience with JavaScript and a reporting tool like MS Access is desirable. Working knowledge of MySQL and Visual Basic is helpful. Candidate must have strong organizational skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision.df-tc
