A. Basic Function:
? This technician is responsible for the proper reformatting, file preparation, file distribution, communication, and quality control checks of all files run through conversion for all list processing jobs related to the Data Management Services line of business.
B. Key Accountabilities
Customer Service
? Responds to internal clients in a timely manner either by phone or email.
? Professional and courteous follow-through on conversion issues until resolution.
? Works closely with Client Service Representatives (CSRs), the Client Programming department, and Tape Library to coordinate proper file conversion.
? Provide detailed daily updates on progress of jobs and projects.
? Responsible for maintaining conversion integrity

File Conversion
? Validates that client layouts are accurate and representative of data received on all files.
? Provide translation of client supplied layouts in the form of standardized layouts and instructions to the Client Programming Department for conversion.
? Assures that all conversion documentation and instructions are maintained and/or modified where necessary.
? Researches and/or resolves data issues
? Responsible for Quality control checks on all converted files.
? Responsible for accurate conversions for all lists converted

Data Integrity and Quality Assurance
? Performs rigorous validation that conversions are done correctly through system generated reports as well as specific user defined reporting, both pre and post conversion.
? Accountable for quality, accuracy, and efficiency of job performed.

Other
? Completes special projects as assigned.
? Assists other List Conversion Group Technicians with workload where appropriate.
? Proper utilization of the internal workflow system (JTS) to account for all work flow.
? Daily maintenance of the Metrics system to provide updates on job status and assignments.
? Execute internal application to log and document data file attributes for all files used in current and previous jobs.
? Perform research on conversion files using internal application that reads foreign tape Logging databases.
C. Metrics
? Accuracy ? Assure that all conversions are done with 100% accuracy.
? On-Time Delivery ? Files are expected to be converted and approved within 24 hours of file receipt and instructions.
? Effective Teams ? Professional and courteous interaction with all clients both internal and external.
? Continuous Process Improvement (CPI?s) ? Actively participates and contributes to projects undertaken by the List Conversion Group department or other company projects.
