Description

A world-renowned software company is seeking a highly organized and self-driven Software Localization Engineer (SLE). This candidate will be responsible for all localization engineering tasks associated with Windows 7 during a project focusing on the BiDi languages (Arabic & Hebrew).

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving the localization process for a product from English into required language
  • Ensuring that the Software Localization Kit is fully functional and usable for software localization
  • Working closely with localization vendors
  • Investigating bugs in localized builds to identify the right fix
  • Helping developers to fix globalization and localizability issues
  • Implementing localization bug fixes and workaroundsdf-tc

    Experience/Skills

  • 3-4 plus years related work experience
  • Appropriate programming or scripting language skills
  • Knowledge of localization process and globalization
  • Fluency in the target language (Arabic or Hebrew), including familiarity with technical terms
  • Ability to localize toward correct reading order for BiDi languages
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows family of operating systems
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and subcontractors
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • High-level organization skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Knowledge of LocStudio is preferred
