Department Name& Description: Test Manager
  • Manage and oversee a team of Test Coordinators, Test Analysts, and Software Testers responsible for performing quality assurance and testing activities supporting deployment of new systems, system and environment enhancements and upgrades, and defect resolution
  • Manage the overall testing schedule to meet project timelines by prioritizing testing efforts and obtaining and assigning resources; oversee and assess test activities for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Actively mentor and develop all team members in the establishment of a continuous quality improvement. Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and standards with respect to testing activities.
  • Direct the planning, scheduling, and execution of project-level quality assurance activities. Establish testing strategies, processes, and standards
  • Collaborate with project management, production, and software development teams to construct and maintain a schedule of changes to the software enterprise. Initiate data-driven continuous quality improvement in testing strategies for product being deployed
  • Aggressively advocate and publicize the benefit of software and infrastructure testing activities to business users and information technology teams. Collect and manage meaningful metrics that show a roadmap of process improvement and reduction of expense


    Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Mathematics, or closely related field
  • Minimum of six to eight (6-8) years of business experience in Information Technology, four to six (4-6) years of experience in software testing, as well as three (3) years of experience in a lead role managing five or more people
  • Understanding of quality assurance and software development theories, frameworks, and lifecycles
  • Statistical analysis skills and understanding of performance metrics
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the initiative to learn new products and follow through on projects
  • Team player and have the ability to work with all levels of users and management
  • Possess the ability to coordinate efforts with others both inside and out of the departmentdf-tc
