Invensys Process Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager located in our Western Region of North America.


Job Summary:
Responsible for the achievement of M&I revenue and growth objectives for a Region with high sales volume. Develops and maintains profitable customer relationships to assure total customer satisfaction within the Region. Devotes the major portion of time to the overall supervision and administration of the indirect channels promoting the M&I business in the Region. Develops sales plans, objectives, and performance metrics for business partners. Works closely with manufacturer's representatives, OEM partners, municipal representatives, systems integrators as well as other IPS sales managers and technical support staff to achieve the best sales offerings and support services for the customer. Leads a multi-functional team of Project Sales Specialists, Technical Sales Consultants and Business Development professionals to profitably grow the business in the assigned region. Selects accounts and manages the success of the assigned team through a focus on customer satisfaction. Coordinates targeted growth in new customers served directly or through the Channel. and Business Development professionals to profitably grow the business in the assigned region. Communicates the strategy to the team, positioning the role of the Regional team within the overall Sales organization and leading the team to ensure attainment of their business goals, both margin improvement and order growth. Sets clear metrics and manages the company approved incentive program. Responsible for overall order volume and quality. Participates in regular forecasting calls and liase with the commercial and operations teams for CQA process and project deliverables. Provides sales expertise to assist staff in large project pursuit within the installed base. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Specific Region:
Actively works with indirect channel representatives in the Region to support, promote and lead the incremental business programs for M&I. Working with the assigned program managers, plans and implements strategies that maximize the sale of M&I products through these channels. Provides assistance and direction for the implementation of planned sales and marketing programs, new product introductions, discount programs, etc. Translates long-range Company sales goals and objectives into programs and plans for implementation within the Region. Analyzes trends and assesses future needs relative to sales and support, staffing and development. Keeps informed of all major M&I quotations or sales opportunities and develops special programs and pricing when warranted. Maintains responsibility for tracking M&I projects in the Region. Provides direction and counsel in major project proposals and other special sales situations.

Education:
BS degree or equivalent. 14+ years experience in a related sales environment.
