Description

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Department: Engineering



For the Mechanical Design Engineer the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) expertise is important for modeling the product to simulate it in use. The programs are typically Cosmos or Ansysbut will consider others. This person will need to be able to create FEA models, and then design actual experiments to prove out the FEA models in many cases. Additionally, they will be involved in analyzing the product when it comes back from the field with issues.to understand and analyze the failures and to write the failure analysis. Of course, they do need to be proficient in Solidworks as well.



Responsibilities
Responsibilities include design and documentation of product, equipment, tooling, fixtures used in the creation and manufacture of silicon structures. This includes developing methods for testing and validating product. Working closely with other members of the team to perform detailed investigations and root cause analysis of problems that may arise in the development and manufacture of the products, as well a resolution of these issues through use of the ECO process.

1. Design and release products and product documentation.
2. As required, make changes and corrections to existing drawings and documentation
3. Establish and document processes for manufacture and handling of product for both internal and customer use.
4. Maintain practices for effective change management

Candidate Qualifications
BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering. Physics or Chemical Engineering knowledge a plus
Proficiency in Solidworks or other 3d modeling tools
Strong expertise in reading drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of clean room protocol or background in semiconductor manufacture or semiconductor equipment manufacture a big plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong team skills, but able to work and manage own commitments independently
Experience working in environments with well established methods and processes (ex. ISO9001)
5 years experience minimum
