Description
Basic Function:
Provide highly specialized system support to assigned department on complex non-routine projects. Act in a liaison capacity between assigned department and Technology personnel.
Responsibilities:
Provide analytical and highly specialized reporting support using PC, client server and mainframe applications. Perform complex non-routine queries and programming. Responsible for database maintenance of new and existing systems. Develop complex and ad-hoc reports and spreadsheets, ensuring information is accurate and maintaining appropriate controls. Analyze data pertaining to department, making recommendations to management based on findings. Provide system support to assigned department; responsible for the maintenance of existing systems and processes, and participates in documentation and enhancements as needed. Conduct and complete research on a timely and ad-hoc basis for various departmental projects. Participate in the development of new systems to include but not limited to testing, procedures and implementation. Participate in the production of materials for the purpose of communicating and or training on new systems, system enhancements, etc. Participate in training of end-users as needed. Participate and work as a team member or leader on various departmental projects. May have LAN administrator responsibilities. Perform other related assignments as requested by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance or Business or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred. Minimum five years experience required. Excellent working knowledge of PC, client-server and mainframe systems. Strong familiarity with Microsoft office and other software utilized by department. Ability to create independent queries and programs with software and mainframe programs, or perform statistical calculations preferred. Highly skilled in programming languages utilized by department. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong development and implementation skills. Strong decision making skills. Ability to communicate important information and focus on clients requirements. Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle multiple tasks and work in team structure. General knowledge of departmental structure, products, processes, and operations.df-tc
