Network Engineer, Network Architect or Telecom Engineer with Strong MPLS and/or VoIP experience in CLEC environments needed.

Relocation assistance to Sunny San Diego will be provided to qualified candidates.

What you need:

- Very strong Network Engineering experience with CLECs and/or ILECs
- Strong MPLS and/or core VoIP Engineering skills
- Experience with routing protocols such as, BGP, iBGP, MPBGP, OSPF, RIP, IS-IS, PIM
- Experience with Alcatel 7750 Service Routers
- Skills with resilient IP networks, HSRP, VRRP, FRR, Multicast, and video streaming
- Experience troubleshooting, and maintaining high-performance IP/MPLS backbone and aggregation networks.
- Strong experience with managed VPN networks
- VoIP/QoS Telephony skills
- Experience with Internet Routing Protocols, QoS Protocols, Firewalls, Sniffer/LAN Analyzers, etc
- 5+ years work experience in troubleshooting, and maintaining high-performance IP backbone and aggregation networks and/or large customer router/switch networks.
- Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting data/IP networks, IP network architecture and design, data/IP capacity management, or data/IP software configurations.
- Hands-on work experience in configuring and troubleshooting Alcatel IP/MPLS/BRAS devices is a plus.
- Relevant certifications are a plus as well: CCIE, Any Voice, Security and/or Wireless Certs.Alcatel Certs are highly desired.

What you'll be doing:

- Responsible for providing 3rd level technical support for a high-performance IP backbone aggregation network
- Interface directly with large enterprise customers in support of their IP networks, Internet connectivity, LAN/WAN networks
- Troubleshoot and restore IP/MPLS-based carrier grade networks, broadband Internet services, managed VPN and VoIP/QoS Telephony networks, Internet backbone networks, and IP video networks.
- Assist in turning-up IP/MPLS core network for carrier-class routing, establish surveillance and fault management criteria for NOC operations, and maintain performance levels for multi-service broadband aggregation equipment
- Analyze traffic utilization and fault management data to develop hardware and/or software recommendations for equipment/facilities provisioning, service restoration, network evolution or development of new customer services.
- Among other relevant duties.
