MS Application Solutions Engineer- Biztalk/MSMQ

Location: Oakbrook, IL
Duration: 8 months with possible extension

Project Summary:
Help to deliver solutions that turn vision into value for client. Provide design, implementation and support expertise to the client for Microsoft server based enterprise level systems supporting US restaurants.
Position Description:
Provide subject matter expertise for large scale deployments of BizTalk solutions and support of the products. Provide technical expertise, standards, guidelines, and best practices for the implementation of a data movement solution utilizing BizTalk and MSMQ, in support of client.
Design and implement solutions to support the delivery of key Microsoft based infrastructure and applications, propose and implement on-going engineering changes to enhance performance; design and plan for the overall solution delivery, including setup and configuration, and primary level 4 support role.

Main responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):
  • Work closely with project team to deliver superior solutions for our restaurants.
  • Participate in or lead application infrastructure solution design sessions
  • Model and document complex business processes
  • Design and document network integration among deployed and supported applications
  • Work with application developers to optimize data flows and communication among components and systems
  • Create, modify and test solutions or fixes with lab environments
  • Design and document human based workflow processes
  • Optimize orchestrations, pipelines, adapters and workflows
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Provide product training and assistance to team members
  • Assist in all aspects of solution testing and testing documentation
Experience Required (years & overall competencies):
  • Must have experience implementing enterprise level solutions
  • Must have experience implementing applications using BizTalk and MSMQ
  • Must have Microsoft SQL database experience
  • Must possess good planning and organizational skills
  • Implementation of large scale retail solutions, including design phases
  • Full application development life cycle knowledge and/or experience
  • Ability to show initiative with minimal direction
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and remain in sync with core, as well as, extended project teams
  • Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience Preferred:
  • Implementation/operation of Microsoft Web services
  • Implementation/operation of Microsoft management systems software
  • EAI integration experience; in particular with MQ Series/WebSphere
  • Quick Service Restaurant industry knowledge a plus
Required Technology Skills:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience implementing .NET solutions
  • 2 years experience design & integration of BizTalk solutions and MSMQ
  • 1 - 3 years experience working with Active Directory
  • Must have experience developing or administering SQL Server databases

Preferred Technology Skills:

  • SQL Server, SCCM, SCOM, Microsoft .NET 2.0 and 3.x (WPF, WCF, WF, Windows Cardspace), MS Visual Studio, C#, IIS, Oracle, MS Office, Visio

Education & Certifications (required or preferred):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; or equivalent experience level required.
  • Industry certification (MSCE, MCSA, MCA) is highly desired.
  • Other Microsoft certifications are desirable and preferred.
