Description
Client seeks an individual to be an architect for its messaging-focused services including e-mail and collaborative messaging, hosted contacts, and integration of those services with our fixed and mobile voice services portfolio.

Responsibilities

* Architect of messaging services
o Microsoft HMC 4.5 based collaborative messaging product architecture including Exchange 2007 and Back End storage
o Ironport MTA layer
* Design & implement new collaborative messaging offering based on MS-Exchange
* Liaise with marketing product managers to define service specifications for new messaging products
* Use off-the-shelf products and custom development to create unique products and services
* Develop test plans and procedures to support design, development and product selection efforts
* Tier 4 support for the Network Operations Center

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required)

Knowledge and experience with:
* Extensive knowledge of messaging services and related technology, including Microsoft Exchange 2007, Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, Standard POP and IMAP e-mail, Storage, DNS, and Server Load Balancers.
* Specific experience implementing large-scale Exchange 2007 solutions
* Experience with Microsoft Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) architecture version 4.5
* Experience with Microsoft Provisioning System (MPS)
* Experience with iSCSI storage based systems. in particular EqualLogic
* Messaging protocols such as MAPI, IMAP and POP
* Experience with large POP/IMAP email platforms
* Experience with MTA layer products like Ironport
* Network protocols and methods including Ethernet switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.
* VoIP standards including MGCP, SIP and RTP
* Configuration of Cisco IOS-based equipment
* Detailed knowledge of Windows Server operating system as well as a functional knowledge of UNIX and LINUX
* IBM Blade server experience
* Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) experience

Skills and Abilities:
* Demonstrable architect abilities and project management skills
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Multi-vendor hardware and software data communications networking

Education & Certifications:
* BS in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred)
* MSCE (required)
* MSCE: Messaging (preferred)
