Job Description: SQL Server Production DBA

Reporting to the Development Manger, this team member will work closely with the two development DBA's to ensure smooth operation of 2 high volume Internet e-commerce platforms.

The responsibilities for this position include the administration of all production, test, staging and development environments for a large number of servers and databases in a fast-paced 24x7 environment. Some after-hours support is required.

Additional duties include the daily monitoring of backups, verifying data integrity, performance monitoring and tuning, optimizing stored procedures, ensuring database health, database and data migrations (DTS, bcp), and software installations/upgrades.

Experience/Skills
Troubleshooting hardware, software and T-SQL issues is also an integral part of this position and requires in-depth understanding of SQL Server architecture, T-SQL, hardware clustering, SAN technology, software installation and integrations, network protocols, technical standards and the overall software development lifecycle.
