Location: Lanham, MD with travel (20% to 40%) to onsite client locations in and around Baltimore
Duration: 2 to 3 Years
Due Date: Mar 19, 2007
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. A Master's Degree is preferred.

General Experience: Must have seven (7) years of experience in the IT field.

Specialized Experience: At least five (5) years of combined new and related older technical experience in the IT field directly related to the required area of expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
o Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and coordination and organizational skills. Must possess at least three (3) years experience where these skills were applied.
o At least five years of Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience and at least five years of Microsoft SQL programming with experience troubleshooting and investigating complex database issues.
o Demonstrate a level of expertise in a variety of database technical services, including but not limited to data warehousing and backup technologies.
o Candidate must collectively possess expertise in the following but not limited to:
- Knowledge of Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Access 2000 and Microsoft Access 2003
- Knowledge and experience with Active Directory
- Knowledge of Security and network components.
- Knowledge and experience in creating scripts for backing up data
- Knowledge and experience with SQL Server Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer
- Knowledge of SQL Server Report Services
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS
- Advanced knowledge of SMTP

o Experience in supporting the systems that use Microsoft SQL Server as a data repository.df-tc
