We have an immediate need for a Machine Vision Image Processing Eng.

JOB DESCRIPTION
MACHINE VISION IMAGE PROCESSING ENGINEER





Objective:

Design and develop machine vision systems, both hardware and software, for specific customer applications and provide excellent customer support for those systems.



Responsibilities:

. Evaluate potential applications of client's machine vision systems and recommend technical solutions

. Develop system specifications in accordance with customer requirements

. Design and develop image processing systems, both hardware and software, for delivery to customers

. Develop testing plans to verify system compliance with customer requirements

. Create excellent documentation for delivery to customers

. Install and support machine vision systems at customer sites as needed

. Provide excellent customer support for client's installed systems

. Maintain high level of expertise in machine vision systems, components, and technologies

. Support technical demonstrations of machine vision systems and use technical knowledge of machine vision capabilities to support sales staff

. Support preparation of proposals for turnkey image processing systems

. Develop training materials and conduct customer training as needed

. Respond to technical issues with products and systems, identify and implement solutions

. Communicate customer feedback into future product developments



Qualifications and Requirements:

. Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science.

. Minimum 3 years of experience in machine vision. Previous experience in Cognex VisionPro software a plus.

. Experience with Microsoft Windows, C/C++/C#/VB, Visual Studio .Net, Borland C++ Builder, Real Time Embedded systems experience desired.

. Experience with lenses, optics, illumination, sensors, PLCs and other production line equipment desired.

. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.

. Some domestic and international travel required.
