Description
Along with Tier 2 and 3 networking tasks, duties could include coordinating updates of network architectures, troubleshooting infrastructure and system issues, and developing and implementing technical procedures and documentation. Candidate will demonstrate experience reflecting flexibility, initiative and commitment in planning IT activities to meet client business requirements. Most engagements are conducted in team environments. Initiative for proactive problem solving and the aptitude to further develop technical skills is expected. Candidate will project a polished and professional appearance, and use good customer service skills and communications skills, both written and verbal.

Bachelor's degree required, with 1-5 years experience in an increasingly technical environment, working with both internal and external clients. Macintosh OSX experience required. Group Policy and Exchange experience is helpful. Experience with Cisco equipment, routing and switching, knowledge of Wintel systems, backups, and virus prevention software helpful. Familiarity with firewalls, network security, network monitoring systems are extra plusses. Publishing software Quark, In Design, Filemaker, Adobe Suite.

]Macintosh Specialist Will be responsible for training - 4 hour classes every Friday regarding Mac support. Classes of up to 6 GUI and NON-Gui training Networking (VPN, SMB, etc) Develop and document mass backup and image process. Escalations on MAC Issues. ex: Eudora and LDAP with Null authentication Automatic corrections of smb.conf. Package developmeht with Apple remote tool 9.x Paging software Associatoins between old (7-9) documents and 10.x applications 10.3 VPN with Checkpoint Carboe Copy is the imaging software currently being used for imaging so familiarity with that or better woudl be helpful. The top two are the main tasks with an average of two escalated issues a week. As training occurs, that should drop lower. * Must be Apple certified because will have to call into Apple to discuss issues. ACDT or 5 years apple desktop and laptop experience. (Hardware) ACSA or ACTC (Preferred) or enterprise mac support experience including large deployment. (Software, Network, and Imaging) LPIC2 and/or BSD experince (Software, Network, and Imaging) Certifications: LPIC2 - Intermediate Level Administration Certification, would prefer LPIC3 but that certifcation is still under development.. ACDT - Apple Desktop Certification, the apple laptop certification is ACPT. ACSA - Apple Server Certification, mostly Apple servers. ACTC - Apple Technical Cordinator Certification.df-tc
