Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses to support maintenance engineering, future project identification and analysisand overall asset management activities.

Supports the establishment of comprehensive maintenance master plan and recurring work program
Supports and may lead thedevelopment of 5 year infrastructure repair/replacement plans
Coordinate and routinely interfaces withOperations and Maintenance Staff, Planning and Programming Staff, Engineering Staff, and Base Leadership
Supports facililty/infrastructure condition assessments and recurring facility inspection program
Support Prioritization of capital improvement projects and planning action

Independently develops and/or leadsthe creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.

Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.df-tc

Experience/Skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field). 5-8 years of related work experience with commercial or industrial facilities with a strong understanding of facility systems preferred. Experience in facility maintenance planning, facility condition assessments, and reliability centered maintenance a plus.


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:


Highly motivated
Strong organization and planning skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
Knowledge of standard commercial facility systems/components such as HVAC, Electrical, Controls, Roofing and Building Envelope
