Role: Technology Applications Consultant

Assignment Capsule
As a Technology applications consultant you will: develop an understanding of Humana's business needs and translate those needs into technological systems, design specifications and solutions. You will partner with other associates to analyze, design, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes.


Role Essentials
  • Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience performing moderate to complex project analysis and design
  • Experience designing/developing applications in a mainframe environment, technologies preferred; COBOL, DB2, CICS, MQ Series
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team of individual setting
  • Full understanding of all pases of the application development lifecycle


Role Desirables
  • Insurance knowledge desired
  • Experience developing web or client/server applications, technologies preferred; C#, .NET, SQL


Reporting Relationships
  • You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
