We have an immediate need for a Mainframe Programmer w/Check 21 experience

JOB DESCRIPTION
Client: Major National Bank
Location: San Francisco
Term: 6-18 months
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship

Job Classification:
This is more of a developer with excellent testing skills. Needs to be able to review current testing and find detailed improvements, including test plans and scripts.
Provides technical consultation and support in the development of improved testing and documentation for the PIES application. Designs and writes technical specifications and verifies operations through testing. Works with the QA-PIES team to defines improved testing techniques. Verifies program logic by preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing. Develops documentation and participates in the development of department technical procedures. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.

Details on this PIES Application:
PIES is a Check 21 application that processes files of check data and images. They are a Mainframe batch app, with a Web user interface to DB2 tables.

Platform and Skill Set Expertise:
QA Testing, Documentation Tools. Visio, Design Skills & Tools. Data modelling , Mainframe Development. Cobol, VSAM.
