Description
Demonstrated experience in ASP.NET C#and SQL Server
Demonstrated experience in IBM Mainframe application development primarily in IMS DB/DC Cobol, which includes both online and batch IMS.
Established track record in developing dynamic data-driven Web sitesand applications by utilizing relational database design concepts.
Responsible for working with both IBM Mainframe and Web developers to understand scope and development effort for migration of Legacy Mainframe systems.
Primary responsibility will be to manage the development and transition/conversion activities associated with the applications in scope; in accordance with internal software development approach.
Must act as project manager for all development activities associated with in-scope applications and will report to the Manager of Web Solutions.
Initiate code reviews and database design reviews for developers in order to improve the skill level and drive standards in the organization.
Ability to work and communicate directly with internal customers to ensure that development team expectations are being met.

This is a development lead/project managementposition, but I expect that the candidates will have demonstrated development experience in their prior work history - both in Web and Mainframe technologies. There are times where this individual may be asked to do some programming, but the bulk of the work will be managing the development activities of others.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated project management experience in migrating Legacy Mainframe applications to a Web environment.

Required Skills:
Demonstrated experience in working similar projects that migrate Legacy Mainframe IMS DB/DC Cobol applications to a Web/object-oriented environment like . NET 2.0 and 3.5.
5+ years of development experience in ASP.NET C# with a focus on . NET 3.5 as well as established track record in developing applications with SQL
Server, including Reporting Services and Excel Services. Microsoft Sharepoint experience required.
Experience with XML, DHTML, and AJAX
5+ years IMS DB/DC Cobol application programming experience with a solid understanding of z/OS and OS/390 operating systems
Familiar with IMS Database Access Methods (HIDAM,HDAM,HISAM) and IMS Utilities (PSBGEN,DBDGEN,ACBGEN)
Understanding of DYL260/280, SAS, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and CA-ROSCOE
Understanding of SOA concepts (ie Oracle SOA) and ability to implement Web services
Technology-driven individual with the ability to manage people to achieve desired project results.
Ability to motivate team in order to meet budget and schedule commitments with a results-based attitude.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
6-8years experience in a software development environment with strong understanding of the software development life cycle.

Desired Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server for source control
Experience with Micro Focus Revolve or Micro Focus Server Enterprise Edition
