Our client is seeking a Mainframe Programmer/Analyst to review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale mainframe computer system.
Other duties include:
>Maintains and develops on-line and batch interfaces from the Enterprise middle tier.
>Provides consultation and leadership on complex projects and interfaces and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
>A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
>Expected to manage defined scope, deliverable quality and delivery dates as well as client expectations.
>This position reports to a Director. df-tc

Experience/Skills
In order to be successful in this role candidates should have the following experience:
>Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
>At least 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
>Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
>Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
>Performs a variety of tasks.
>Required experience includes 8-10 years COBOL and CICS developement, 2-3 years SAA/CAA (Server/Client Apapter Agent), DB2 stored procedures, MQ messaging and 2-3 years MQ administration experience.
>Must have experience in CICS and batch mainframe MQ message enqueueing and dequeueing.
>Desired experience includes Rational ClearQuest and ClearCase, WBI message brokers and collaborations, abilty to analyze and document system design and architecture as well as development and deployment procedures.
