We are currently seeking a Mainframe programmer analyst for a contract with an initial term of 6 months based in Durham, NC.

Summary
Our mainframe programmer analyst will perform new development, maintenance and enhancements to existing applications running in a mainframe environment. This includes: analyzing, designing, functional analysis, application design and support, coding, unit testing, testing/QA, debugging, unit and environment integration. The mainframe programmer analyst will have a good understanding of relevant business concepts and practices. Full project life cycle experience may be required. Specific skill set will include the following:

COBOL 2, DB2, CICS, and VSAM
Batch and online development experience
Experience in writing DB2 stored procedures
UNIX and script shell experience is a plus
Experience in Financial Services is a plus

Responsibilities

The job will consist of participating as a team member in developing, implementing and supporting products utilized by the Portfolio Advisory Services business.
This will require analysis, data migration & manipulation, research, and validation across multi-environments to support this process.

Experience/Skills
Must be able to adapt to an extremely aggressive schedule and multi-tasking is a must for this position.
Experience with coding, testing, and implementation of COBOL and CICS solutions
Must be experienced in developing and maintaining systems in the MVS mainframe environment
Ability to work in a team environment
