Assignment Capsule
As a Technology Tech Consultant you will: perform design and maintenance tasks including installation, customization, documentation, debugging and performance tuning on complex projects with system-wide ramifications. You will also act as an area expert on special projects, assisting with the adoption of new technology and creating and refining best-practices.

  • Offer first/second tier support for issues arising from the use of key enterprise application.
  • Perform system release installs and patch updates from third party vendor.
  • Support multiple production and test environments.
  • Provide ongoing technical advice, assistance, and training to fellow associates

Role Essentials
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in an IBM mainframe environment with emphasis on following technologies: Mainframe DB2, Platinum DB2 tools, MVS JCL and Utilities, TSO, CICS, VSAM and PDSe.
  • Programming experience with COBOL II and OS390 COBOL.
  • Ability to analyze batch job abends and determine corrective action.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and SNA.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Tools.
  • Participation in on-call rotation and occasional weekend work.


Role Desirables
  • Experience with EZTrieve or QuikJob.
  • Microsoft platform experience including SQL Server database and networking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project.
  • Lotus Notes Development experience.
  • Experience with Software Installation tools.



Reporting Relationships
  • You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
