TITLE: Managed Services Support Engineer
TYPE: Direct Hire
START DATE: Immediate
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA
TRAVEL: 25%
SHIFT: 6am to 3pm (M-F)

OPPORTUNITY:
A leading information security company, based in Atlanta, GA, has retained our firm to find a Managed Services Support Engineer for their Atlanta operations. We prefer candidates that are already established in that territory.

This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment with some of the industry's most sought after experts and to have exposure to leading edge network and security technology.

The company is on a high growth path and with expert certified consultants on staff, they are setting the standard for providing quality enterprise security solutions!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide phone and email technical support as well as managed security service support to customer base on Check Point Firewall-1 4.1 to NG, Nokia IP Series Security Appliance Platforms, RSA SecureID, and other security products
- Provide limited consulting services to customers in presales, implementation, and post sales capacity
- Provide server/desktop/laptop hardware and software support for company infrastructure and employees
- Work on phone system administration as required
- Configuration and shipping of lab equipment for training classes
- Disaster recovery and backups for company
- After hours support required (Rotation with other SOC employees)

QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years in the internetworking industry demonstrating a knowledge of:
- LAN/WAN internetworking technology (IP addressing, routing, etc.)
- Advanced Knowledge of Networking and Application Protocols (DNS, SMTP, FTP, HTTPS, SSH, etc.)
- Basic Knowledge of security controls

2+ years in the internetworking industry demonstrating a knowledge of:
- Firewall Technology (Check Point, NetScreen, Cisco PIX, etc.)
- Security Practices (Audits, planning, design, implementation, testing, and management)
- Cryptography methods, systems, and protocols for use with VPN technologies

- Superior communication skills
-Experience explaining technical solutions to customers with various levels of understanding
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- Tactical and strategic expertise in designing, implementing, managing, and enhancing network environments utilizing security technology
- Ability to design and implement desktop software and hardware

Only candidates with some security experience will be considered!

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- MCSE 4.0 or later (required)
- NetScreen NCSA or JNCIA-FWV (required)
- CCSA (recommended)

NICE TO HAVES:
- Additional training in other security products
- Additional certifications in other security products
- Some Unix and/or Linux experience

Technical expertise in:
- Windows 2000/XP/2003 server/workstation/professional
- Email server (Microsoft Exchange & Outlook)
- SMTP gateway
- Symantec Antivirus
- Veritas Backup
- Siemens Phone system
- BBX Voicemail systemdf-tc
