Description
This position is responsible, under general guidance and supervision of the Executive Director, for ?CASCADE Support? activities within GMS. Key responsibilities include:

? ensuring efficient and effective set up of newly awarded projects in CASCADE
? ensuring CASCADE users' issues are resolved efficiently and effectively through Business Support
? ensuring that change requests for the CASCADE system are thoroughly reviewed by the business and that approved changes have been submitted to CASCADE IT for implementation
? working with CASCADE Support management in Europe to ensure global consistency, where applicable
? chairperson of the CASCADE Core Team providing direction for future enhancements of CASCADE

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field, Master's degree in business preferred.
? A minimum of six years experience in a project management or project planning role within the research/pharmaceutical industry.
? A minimum of six years experience (querying, data integrity, etc.) with relational databases.
? A minimum of two years supervisory experience.
? Or, an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
? Understanding of relational databases and database structure
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making
? Multi-therapeutic scientific background
? Ability to supervise and objectively evaluate subordinates
? Ability to motivate and integrate staff
? Possess good interpersonal skill, self-motivated, and have the ability to retain a positive attitude
? Good teaching and mentoring skills
? Strong computer skills, MS Office and other database applications
