Manager - Data Architect

SUMMARY:
This Data Architecture Manager will have primary responsibility for leading the efforts to design and develop the data architecture for the company's proprietary supply chain enterprise.

DUTIES:
* Lead in designing, building, testing and implementing the data management and integration track for the system.
* Assist business partners, both external and internal, with gathering requirements and provide input to the processes of collection, template and reviews.
* Design the data architecture; define and maintain the end-to-end data flow.
* Define and design physical data models and logical data models for the operational data stores.
* Maintain data models; work with DBAs on the the implementation.
* Document and maintain the data dictionary.
* Estimate data volume as well as data growth.
* Define and design data retention and purging.
* Define data standards, security and audit standards; design solutions as necessary.
* Document the Standard Interface Manual.
* Define the technical and functional design of data management and integration.
* Design a central exception management system.
* Design a performance model for data creation and access.
* Provide assistance in governance of data.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree desired.
* 7+ years exp in Data Architecture: designing, building and modeling for numerous entities and data streams.
* Strong project management as well as team management experience and skill.
* Experience with supply chain/distribution management systems and collaboration tools.
* Strong multi-tasking, time management and leadership skills.
* Experience with facilitating on/off shore team interaction.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
* Data Modeling Tools
* Oracle databases (10g/11g)
* SDLC (system development life cycle)
* MS Office suite
