Description
Direct EDC Support services staff in providing EDC business support services for clinical trials using EDC; business support will included both operational usage focus an IT technology focus. This position is responsible for providing EDC Support direction for a support leads and personnel in U.S. The goal of this position is to ensure that support services for EDC are provided in an efficient and effective manner. Work closely and effectively with EDC Management to effectively coordinate between the various operational and IT functional units in support of EDC end-users.

This position directly supervises a staff of 2 to 20 employees.

Education and Experience:
? Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area
? 5 years operations management experience, preferably in a call center / helpdesk supervisory role with; a minimum of two years staff management experience
or
? At least 5 years experience in IT operations including software life cycle development, use of database technologies, applications using web and network based technologies, helpdesk or call center environment experience; with a minimum of two years staff management experience

In some cases, a combination of education and prior directly related experience may be considered as equivalent to the above requirements provided that the individual possesses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job requirements satisfactorily.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Knowledge of Helpdesk Call Tracking software, ACD systems, and
desktop management software
? Proficient knowledge of software life cycle development.
? Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills.
? Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail
? Negotiation Skills are critical
? Proficient in budgeting and financial management
? Ability to effectively mentor senior staff to direct and promote
teamwork in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
? Proven performance of required tasks, as evidenced by outstanding
performance in current tasks and/or documented record of
accomplishments.
? Evidence of management skills, as shown through management of
multiple projects and proven ability to manage, mentor, and
motivate staff.
? Demonstrated initiative and motivation.
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
? Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to
changing priorities.
? Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
