JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a fortune 100 international manufacturing giant, seeks a Permanent Employee, Senior Manager, Project Management candidate for their medical diagnostic devices division in Los Angeles CA.

Must have project management experience in concept to launch, healthcare diagnostics or medical devices product development.

Senior Manager Project Management - Los Angeles CA.

SR Mgr PM position within the Global Program Management department for Diagnostics Methods projects. The individual will assume a dual role; manage the Core Team Leaders at the Los Angeles site and serve as a hands-on project team leader.

Responsible for the resource and development budget planning across the product lines; plans, organizes, staffs, directs, and controls activities of multiple Project Managers, to develop new Diagnostics Methods projects. The individual drives change in the project management process to improve management of projects along to meet quality (product and project), cost (product and project cost), schedule, and revenue objectives in a predictable manner.

- Balance conflicting priorities of different projects. Make recommendations to Senior Management on priority and trade-offs between projects.
- Monitor progress of all Diagnostics Methods projects at the site and identify schedule issues when they are still recoverable. Provide regular forecast updates.
- Develop Core Team Leaders in the organization.
- Administer performance reviews for the department. Manage the process of performance feedback from Project Management back to functional groups on members assigned to projects.
- Ensure all Core Teams are prepared for PSB presentations and for exit of all stage gates, including product release for sale.
