Description
1. Directs project staff assignment. Monitors and evaluates project leader's performance to ensure completion according to plans.
2. Manages assigned resources to assure objectives are met within approved plans and budgets.
3. Assures the availability of qualified and trained unit personnel for internal and external assignment based on approved information systems plans. Selects and develops staff.
4. Recommend the use of outside contract resources and administers selected contracts to assure performance.
5. Manages the partnership with the assigned business unit or staff area(s).
6. Assists, as needed, in the development of the strategic technical architecture in partnership with the business/staff department.
7. Recommends and administers policies, procedures and standards within assigned unit. Assures compliance with HSBC and divisional policies, procedures and standards. Keep unit personnel informed on matters affecting their area of responsibility.
8. Manages personnel development through performance reviews, training, planning and career development activities.
9. Keeps informed on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility and advises department and division management on new developments.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Bachelor?s degree with major or minor in Computer Science or equivalent experience required. Working knowledge of information systems technology and 6 years in applications systems assignments, including 3 years in project management assignments necessary. Must have ability to lead, motivate and develop personnel.
