Description
Robert Half technology is looking for a Manager of Help Desk to direct the day to day operation of the Systems Helpdesk, application specialists and technical writers for an established company in Gainesville, FL.The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:• Direct and supervise the Helpdesk operations.• Assign, establish and oversee supervision of work tasks, approve overtime, determine work priorities and assign hours of work.• Direct and supervise the application specialists and technical writers.• Coordinate and assist in any recoveries/corrective efforts.• Coordinate and assist in audits as needed. • Support QA team in quality assurance efforts.• Make temporary reassignments between work areas as needed.• Approved or reject assigned work assignments.• Direct personnel recruitment, review job applications for selection of interviewees, oversee and interview applicants, and hire. Conduct probationary evaluations, and make certification decisions.• Approve position descriptions; oversee training and orientation of new employees on job duties.• Approve time records, and approve/reject vacation/sick leave usage.• Oversee and conduct performance evaluations and complete and sign Employee Performance Evaluation forms and grant or withhold step increases.• Recommend achievement awards and write letters of commendation. • Counsel both written and orally, employees as needed. • Consult with CIO and Human Resource officials concerning disciplinary action..• Draft and sign letters of suspension and approve documents to remove employees from payroll..df-tc

Experience/Skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree (B.
