The Infrastructure Project Leader will be responsible for assessing infrastructure improvement opportunities, assessing new application infrastructure requirements, developing infrastructure improvement and modification project plans, and executing infrastructure projects. Experience/Skills
RESPONSIBILITIES: · Work with application analysts and project leaders to assess potential application infrastructure requirements. Define alternatives and provide input to cost/benefit analysis. · Serve as the liaison between the Solutions Delivery group (Applications), and the infrastructure group, ensuring application requirements are understood and plans are established to meet application needs. Ensure infrastructure components are procured and implemented in a timely and quality fashion. · Work with architects and infrastructure resources to assess infrastructure improvement opportunities. Research alternatives, define alternative testing approaches, test, define success criteria, and define budget impact. Vet results with IT leadership and collaborate with others to reach consensus on direction.· When infrastructure problems arise, work with architect and other infrastructure resources to perform root cause analysis and define solution alternatives and recommend preventative.· Assist with acquisition infrastructure consolidation projects.· Established a change management process and oversee process execution. Assist with process audits.· Assist with new location start up projects and office relocation projects.· Ensure infrastructure reliability through the execution of short-term and long-term preventative actions.· Provide input to budget analysis and planning efforts. · Lead implementation projects of infrastructure improvement initiative. Job RequirementsAn acceptable candidate must possess the following qualifications:ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:· Associates degree in Computer Technology or other area of study or five years of experience in Information Technology· Experience with one or more of the following: Client/Server technologies, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, Help Desk methods and procedures, Network design and administration, VOIP Design and implementation, SQL Server, Storage/SAN, or Wide Area File Systems technology.· Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a complex, multi-site environment.· Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage suppliers.COMPETENCIES:Adaptability: Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.Communication: Clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.Decision Making: Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions; takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.Integrity: Acts with integrity, dealing with colleagues and customers in a straightforward manner.Planning and Organizing: Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently.Pace: Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity); handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and to the organization.Work Standards: Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self imposes standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
